However, I personally consider wisdom highly correlated with our capacity to overcome biases of thinking and acting, as well as to transcend illusion.

As humans, we may become better at moving towards the 'top' of our hierarchy/pyramid, but I wouldn't say that his process can necessarily make us wise. Functional? Yes. But wisdom is a whole other realm.
