Unfortunately, I'll disagree with your statement about everything else being untenable, except Christianity.
As aforementioned in the article, I engage with Jesus' symbol the same way I do with the Phoenix, or I practice Metta and collective christian prayer simultaneously. My aim here was to bridge the gap between us and ancient wisdom, while also noting the urgency of being open-minded about narrative truth.
This wisdom can be derived from multiple religions, even Hinduism. I just chose Christianity because I was raised inside such a community.
P.S I can't disagree with you about Jesus being alive, as I deeply believe that our narrative world usually transcends the boundaries of objective reality. We become what we behold...
Just don't be absolute about it.
